Abiel Cavazos Jr.,36, beloved husband, father, son, brother, uncle, cousin and friend entered into the glory of his eternal life on Monday, July 18, 2016, at Valley Regional Medical Center in Brownsville, Texas surrounded by his loving family.
Abiel was a native and lifetime resident of Brownsville. Abiel was an excellent father, husband, and son who loved spending time with his children. He was a funny and energetic person who always filled the room with love and happiness. Every time he saw someone who was down he would always turn their frown upside down. Abiel was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed by all those fortunate to have known him.
Abiel is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Antonio Cavazos; his mother-in-law, Dalila Flores Silva; and a cousin, Hector Silva Jr.
Left behind to eternally treasure their memories of him is his beautiful wife, Daisy D. Cavazos; his children: Eduardo Cavazos, Derek, Natalie, Jason, & Melanie Cavazos; his loving parents, Maria de Lourdes Silva & Abiel Cavazos; a sister, Amy (Mark) Flores; a brother, Jerry (Tammy) Garcia; his maternal grandparents, Ester N. and Marcelino Silva; his paternal grandmother, Dinora Cavazos; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and other extended family members.
Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 20th and continue through 9:00 p.m. There will be a prayer service at 6:00 p.m. followed by the recitation of the holy rosary at 7:00 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 21, 2016, at San Pedro Catholic Church, Hwy 281, in San Pedro, TX. Committal services will follow at San Pedro Cemetery.
Eddie Cavazos, Jerry Garcia, Matthew Flores, Mark Flores, Shawn Flores, and Noe Silva are honored to be serving as Abiel's pallbearers. Derek Silva and Jason Cavazos will serve as honorary pallbearers.
