Mr. Adolfo Sierra, 71, entered into eternal life on January 18, 2008 at St. Lukes Episcopal Hospital in Houston, Texas.
He was a native and lifetime resident of Brownsville, Texas. After retiring with 40 years of service from Zimco Marine, Adolfo dedicated his love and time to his grandsons that were his pride and joy.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years Beatrice Diaz de Leon Sierra, a son, Adolfo Sierra III, both from Brownsville; 2 daughters: Melissa Sierra Orlando Alaniz from Rosharon, TX and Rebecca Sierra Martin Rosetta from Pearland, TX; four grandsons: Adolfo Adrian Sierra 12 yrs. old, Andrew Abraham Sierra 10 yrs. old, Anthony Adolfo Alaniz 5yrs. old, Martin Drew Rosetta 2 yrs. old, and a future granddaughter due in April, Sierra Judith Rosetta.
Adolfo truly lived up to the meaning of his name which is noble. He was a noble husband, father, grandfather, man, and friend. We loved him dearly and he will be truly missed. He will live in our hearts forever.
Visitation will begin at 12 p.m. and continue through 9 p.m. with the recitation of the holy rosary at 7 p.m. this evening in the East Chapel of Darling-Mouser Funeral Home. The Mass of Christian Resurrection will be at 2 p.m. on Monday, January 21, 2008 at St. Josephs Catholic Church. All services will conclude after the Mass and as per Mr. Sierras wishes he will be cremated.
Adolfo Sierra III, Marco Alban, Orlando Alaniz, Martin Rosetta, Adolfo Torriz, and Efrn Diaz De Leon are honored to be serving as Adolfos pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, Adolfos family is requesting that memorial gifts in his name be made to The Childrens Museum of Brownsville, P.O. Box 3762, Brownsville, Texas 78523, and 956-548-9300.
