Aileen Laverne Brittain

Aileen LaVerne Hanna Brittain went to be with her Lord on Saturday, September 25, 2010. She was born in Brownsville on May 18, 1918 and was preceded in death by her husband of 71 years, James K. Brittain. As promised by the Word, Aileen will join those who have gone before her including her parents, Benjamin and Elizabeth Bessie Hanna brothers Harold Hanna, George Hanna, Homer Hanna, and sister Mildred Whitetree.

Aileen is survived by her two daughters, Patricia Kay David DuBois of Brownsville and Karen Sue James Winch of Laredo and loving grandchildren James Virginia DuBois of Brownsville, Adina DuBois of Seguin, Kara Pat Blueyes of Farmington, NM, Erin Wheeler of Frederick, Md, Alissa Corey Bradford of Irving, TX and Edward Winch of Bagdad, Iraq.
Family members were blessed by the union and Christian principles of Jimmie and Aileen. The two met in church camp when they were only 12 years old and, thus, began a 79 year union.

Visitation will be held at 1:00 p.m. and services will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 2, 2010 at the DarlingMouser Funeral Home. Pastor Lance Hostetter of the Central Christian Church will conduct the service. Final farewells will be held at the Buena Vista Burial Park immediately following the services.
