Alberta O. Hernandez

Alberta O. Hernandez, 90, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister entered into the glory of her eternal life on Friday, December 02, 2016, at Spanish Meadows Nursing Home in Brownsville, Texas, surrounded by her loving family.

Alberta was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed not only by her family and friends but by all those fortunate to have known her.

Alberta was preceded in death by her husband, Leonardo Hernandez; a son, Miguel Hernandez; her sisters: Alicia Torres and Celia Davila; and a brother, Andres Ornelas.

Left behind to eternally treasure their memories of her are her children: Armando Hernandez, Maria H. Ramos, Berta A. Ramirez, Maria D. Lopez, Alma Celaya, Dora Loya, Janie Sanchez, and Norma De Leon; 26 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren; her sister, Juanita Arriaga and numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family members.

Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 5th, 2016, and continue through 9:00 p.m. with the recitation of the holy rosary scheduled for 7:00 p.m. Monday evening in the East Chapel at Darling-Mouser Funeral Home. The Funeral Mass is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 6th, 2016, at Christ the King Catholic Church, 2255 Southmost Road. Committal services will follow at Buena Vista Burial Park.
