Alice Rousset Muoz, 87, died on January 27, 2012 in the presence of her loved ones at her home in Fairfax, Virginia.
Alice Rousset Muoz was born September 1924 in Brownsville, Texas to her parents Rosa Snchez and Alfred Rousset. She worked for Neisner Brothers for 23 years. In retirement, Alice relocated to Fairfax, Virginia. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with family and friends. She loved shopping, fine dining and music of all kinds, especially the blues and jazz. She possessed a keen eye for style, was an avid reader, and collected Victorian dolls. She was an incredibly cheerful person, full of life, and well known for her beautiful smile and an amazing kindness that she shared with anyone she met. Alice was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed by all those fortunate to have known her.
Alice was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred and Rosa Rousset a brother, Alfred Rousset Jr., and a grandson, David Muoz Jr.
She is survived by her daughters, Sylvia Ramiro Perez and Mina Muoz, both of Fairfax, Virginia three sons, David Alda Muoz Sr. of Corpus Christi, Texas Carlos Muoz Jr. of Fairfax, Virginia, and George Louis Carolina Muoz of Amarillo, Texas her sisterinlaw, Socorro Trevio Rousset of Brownsville, Texas, as well as eight grandchildren and nine greatgrandchildren and numerous other extended family members.
Visitation will be held from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a recitation of the holy rosary at 7 p.m. on Sunday, January 29, 2012, at DarlingMouser Funeral Home. The Funeral Mass will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, January 30, 2012, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 1200 East Lincoln Street, Brownsville, Texas. Burial will follow at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens.
James Alfred Perez, Marc William Muoz Sr., Martin G. Luis, Richard Dennis Solis, Stephen Daniel Solis, and George Rousset are honored to be serving as Alices pallbearers. Frederic Fane Wolfer III, Harley Don Lewis, William David Luis, Charles Louis Wolfer, Andrew Jacob Wolfer, James Alfred Perez II, and Marc William Muoz Jr. will serve as honorary pallbearers.
