Alicia Barron Perez, 88, beloved sister, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend entered into the glory of her eternal life on Sunday, December 24, 2017, surrounded by her loving family.
Alicia, a native and lifetime resident of Brownsville, was a devoted wife, mother, sister, and grandmother. A devout Catholic, she was a longtime parishioner at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Alicia was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed not only by her family and friends but by all those fortunate enough to have known her.
Alicia is preceded in death by her daughter, Norma A. Barron; her parents, Angelita L. and Luis Barron; and 5 brothers: Luis, Daniel, Ramiro, Ricardo and Roberto Barron.
Alicia is survived by Juan A. Perez and her children: Sylvia Swift, Belinda (Eduardo) Campirano Sr., and Minerva (Jay) Medina; 7 grandchildren: Jonathan Swift, John D. (Jackie) Barron, Michael A. (Elsa) Barron, Monica A. Barron, Marisa A. (Joe Paredes) Campirano, Eduardo A. (Mirenda) Campirano Jr. and Matthew A. Medina; in addition to 8 great-grandchildren: Samuel A. & Cristian D. Swift, Harper G. & Avery A. Barron, Ryan E. Morton, Gabriel A. & Emma S. Paredes, and Eduardo A. Campirano III. Alicia will also be missed by her two sisters, Bertha (Francisco+) Lopez and Lucia Carmona and a brother, Alfredo (Margarita+) Barron along with numerous nieces, nephews, friends, and numerous extended family members.
In accordance with Alicia's wishes she will be cremated. A Celebration of Life Service is planned for 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 28, 2017, in the East Chapel at Darling-Mouser Funeral Home. Committal services will follow at Buena Vista Burial Park.
