Alicia Lucinda Rodriguez

Alicia Hernandez Rodriguez entered into eternal rest, surrounded by her family, on Sunday, August 15, 2010.
She was born on January 6, 1966 in Brownsville, Texas to Roberto and Stella Hernandez. She was a devoted wife, mother, sister, daughter and loyal friend to many.
She was preceded in death by her father Roberto Raul Hernandez. She is survived by her husband of 18 years, Marcus Rodriguez, twin daughters, Alejandra Diane and Adriana Alicia Rodriguez of Rancho Viejo, Texas, mother, Stella Hernandez, of Brownsville, Texas, brothers, Roberto Raul Hernandez, Jr., of San Antonio, Texas, Luis Ricardo Rita Hernandez, of South Padre Island, Texas, Reynaldo Ramon Hernandez, of San Antonio, Texas, sister, Diane Stella James Holt, of Rancho Viejo, Texas, nephews Luis Ricardo Hernandez, II, Dominic Daniel Hernandez, Aaron Joseph Rodriguez and nieces Bianca Allyse Hernandez and Anissa Elizabeth Rodriguez.
Alicia graduated from Saint Joseph Academy in 1984. She then received her business degree from Pan American University. Alicia was a devoted educator at Fred Booth Elementary in San Benito for 16 years, retiring only to spend time with her family.
Alicia was a high energy person who loved the outdoors. As an avid runner, she lived a healthy lifestyle and instilled those values to her family. She loved animals and will be sorely missed by her constant companions, Sumara and Daisy.
The family would like to give special thanks to the staff at Sunshine Haven for their care and comfort. The family would also like to give thanks for their overwhelming support to Alicias close friends, and the entire student body, staff and Principal, Manuel Cruz at Fred Booth Elementary.
No funeral arrangements will be held, as the family conducted a private memorial service.
