Allison F. Odle, of Brownsville, died on November 26, 2009, after a courageous two year battle with pancreatic cancer. She died at home, the place she knew how to create for her family and the place she loved the most.
Allison was born on December 11, 1942, in Atlanta, Georgia, the daughter of the late Palmer and Mary Flagler. She was the oldest of three children. She grew up in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
On February 23, 1963, she married David Odle. Allison and Dave spent the next 46 years between California, Connecticut, Minnesota, and Texas. In 1988, the Odles returned to Minnesota spending summers in Pine City and winters in Brownsville, Texas. Allison loved animals and spent several years as a Veterinary Technician. She later found another passion in the game of golf and went on to build quite the reputation as a good, but fun-loving golfer. Allison was someone would anything for her family and friends.
She is survived by her loving husband, David; daughter, Kim Ken Downs of Rochester, MN; son, Scott Michele Odle of Chaska, MN; brother, Bob Ani Flagler of Duluth, MN; and five grandchildren: Taylor, Carter, Conner, Zachary, and Cali who will always remember her as their Geema; her beloved Golden Retriever, Hannah. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Elizabeth Dede Sorensen.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the River Bend Resort at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, November 30, 2009.
