Allison Melissa Nicole Chio

PASADENA, TX. – Allison Melissa Nicole Chio finished her fight on Wednesday, the 10th of May 2023 at the young age of thirty-three.

Allison was born just a regular nineteen inches in Brownsville, Texas on June 18, 1989, daughter of Daniel Chio, Jr. and Melissa Jo Bryant. That changed however, by the time she started school.  No one ever had trouble finding her since she always stood a head above the other children. The Creator blessed her with her grandma’s height. Allison loved to cook and was always volunteering to help her grandma or whenever she visited home.

Anyone who came to know Allison developed a fondness for her. She was well liked by everyone. In her walk through life, we discovered that Allison had the voice of an angel. Many people spend their whole life trying to perfect such an art.  Yet to her, it just flowed naturally in whatever musical genre she sang. It was effortless.

Allison loved her family. For her, this included many of the church people she grew up with. Her favorite time was when her family would all get together for dinner. The greatest love of her life was her son, Dorian. She voiced this over and over in her journal entries.

Allison was an avid lover of 80’s music. We dare say she knew almost any 80’s song and was able to sing it at will.

Preceding Allison in death was her paternal grandmother, Elsa Cisneros Chio; her great-grandmother, Rosenda Herrera; her aunt, Carmen Jean Varnado; and her uncle, Mark Donice Varnado.

Survivors include her son, Dorian Idris Allister Chio; her parents, Daniel Chio, Jr. and Melissa Jo Vasquez; her spouse, Angela Ramirez; her sisters, Sara Jessica Marie Serrano and Dani Victoria Michele Chio-Ruiz; her maternal grandmother, Rosalinda O’Neill; her aunts and uncle Elsa Tanya Chio, Crystal Margaret Chio, and Phillip Anthony Chio (Margarita); her cousins Tristen Roland Olvera, Ariel Bethany Olvera, Uriah Lucas Chio, Jeremiah Nathaniel Chio; and her nieces and nephews Sara Evelyn Brito, Nathan Alexander Serrano, Scarlett Rosalie Serrano, London Everly Serrano, Silas Daniel Serrano, Carlos Ernest Serrano IV, Liam Bastian Godric Rodriguez, Carmen Kairi Melissa Ruiz, and Marcus Sora Mauricio Ruiz.

Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, the 16th of May 2023 between the hours of one o’clock in the afternoon and nine o'clock at night, with a prayer service, officiated by Pastor Phillip Chio, to begin at half past six o'clock Tuesday evening within the East Chapel of Darling-Mouser Funeral Home.
