GRAND PRAIRIE, TX. – Ana Teresa “Tere” Romo-DeAnda, beloved wife, sister, and aunt, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, the 27th of April 2022 in the comfort of her Grand Prairie residence surrounded by her family. She was sixty-eight years of age.
Tere, as she was affectionately known by her family and close friends, was born on October 14, 1953 in Bajio de San Jose, Jalisco, Mexico, daughter of Manuel Romo & Carlota Perez. A devout Roman Catholic, Tere was extremely faithful and involved with her church parish. Tere was the choir director for fifteen years for the Spanish Mass at Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Cleburne, Texas, where she sang in vocal harmony and also played percussion instruments in the choir including the tambourine, triangle, and chime. Her favorite pastimes included gardening, reading, crocheting, knitting, and singing. Tere was avid in practicing etiquette, civility, and good mannerisms which she instilled in others. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends and all of those fortunate enough to have known her.
Preceding Tere in death were her parents, Manuel Romo and Carlota Perez de Romo; and her brother, Juan Francisco Romo.
Survivors include her husband, Juan De Anda; her siblings Gildardo Romo (Altagracia), Cruzmaria Trevino (Joe), Ubaldo Romo (Cecilia), Delia Romo (Everardo Ascencio), Lilia Hernandez (Sergio +), Margarita Beard (Jerry +), Jose Manuel Romo (Maria Teresa), and Jaime Romo; fourteen nieces and ten nephews; in addition to numerous grandnieces, grandnephews, and cousins.
