Angelica Chavez Briseño, 60, of Brownsville, Texas, our beloved mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend entered into the glory of her eternal life on Friday, Sept. 9th, 2016, at Valley Regional Medical Center surrounded by her loving family.
Angie, as she was affectionately known to all, was a lifetime resident of Brownsville. Angie was a devoted daughter, sister, mother, and grandmother. Angie was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed not only by her family and friends but by all those fortunate to have known her.
Angie is preceded in death by her father, Edubijes "Viques" Chavez.
Left behind to eternally treasure their memories of her are her children: Arlinda (Jose Angel Morales) Huerta and Fidel Juarez; her grandchildren: Jose Angel Morales Jr., Julianna Arleth Morales, and Joseph Abraham Morales; her mother, Elena R. Chavez; her siblings: Eduvijes Chavez Jr., Enrique (Dina) Chavez, Aracelia Chavez, Carrie Moreno, Yolanda (Atanacio) Galvan, Alicia (Gilberto) Lerma, Veronica Chavez, and Esteban Chavez; along with numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and other extended family members and friends.
Visitation will start at 11:00 am and continue through 9:00 pm on Tuesday, Sept. 13th, 2016, in the East Chapel at Darling-Mouser Funeral Home with a prayer service scheduled for 7:00 pm Tuesday evening. The Funeral Service will be at 10:00 am on Wednesday, Sept. 14th, 2016 at Darling-Mouser. Committal services will follow at Buena Vista Burial Park.
Angie's nephews: Eduardo C. Chavez, Juan José Buenrostro Jr., Michael Chavez, Jaime Javier Chavez Jr., David Moreno, John Andrew Chavez, David Gonzalez Jr., and Esteban Chavez Jr. are honored to be serving as pallbearers for their beloved aunt.
