Angelica G Garza

Mrs. Angelica G. Garza, 90, beloved mother, grandmother, greatgrandmother, sister, aunt, and friend passed away on Wednesday, June 15, 2011 at Brodie Ranch Rehabilitation Center in Austin, TX surrounded by her loving family.

A native of Brownsville, Mrs. Garza moved to the Austin area several years ago due to health issues. She was a devoted wife and mother who gave her all for her family. A devout Catholic, she was a faithful parishioner at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church where she was a founding member of the Club Guadalupano. She also represented Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church as a leader of Valley Interfaith. She was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed by all those whose lives she touched.

Mrs. Garza was preceded in death by her parents her husband Hector D. Garza Sr. a sister, Eulogia Locha G. Abrego and three brothers: Gilberto, Roberto, and Julian Garcia Jr.

Left behind to eternally treasure their memories of her are her children: Oscar D. Deborah Garza, Hector D. Angie Garza Jr., Oralia D. Ernesto Corts, Rodolfo D. Rudy Garza, Tomas D. Tommy Rosemary Garza, and Leticia D. Carlos Guerra numerous grandchildren and greatgrandchildren two brothers, Guadalupe Lucy Garcia and Alfredo Rosa Garcia and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. on Friday, June 17 in the East Chapel at DarlingMouser Funeral Home with the recitation of the holy rosary scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m. this evening. Visitation will resume at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 18th with a funeral Mass scheduled for 1 p.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 1200 Lincoln St. Interment will follow at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens.

Honored to be serving as Mrs. Garzas pallbearers are Oscar D. Garza, Hector D. Garza, Jr., Tomas D. Garza, Hector D. Beau Garza,III, Carlos Guerra, Jr., Daniel A. Garza, Carlos Guerra, Sr. and Jacob Cortes. Honorary pallbearers will be Jason Esquibel, Rodolfo D. Rudy Garza and Julio J. Estrada, Ernesto Corts Jr..
