Angelica A. Parker, 76, our beloved mother, grandmother, greatgrandmother, sister, and aunt entered into the presence of her Lord and Savior on Friday, January 8, 2010 at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Brownsville.
Angelica was a native and lifetime resident of Brownsville. She was a devoted wife and mother who was always there for her children and their children. She was a woman of deep faith and she instilled that faith and love of God in her children.
She was preceded in death by her parents her husband, Raymond Roy Parker a sister, Olivia Perez 3 brothers: Israel, Leonel, and Adolfo Anzaldua and a soninlaw, Antonio Limon.
Left behind to eternally treasure her memory are her children: Rosemary Limon, Betty Jean Rudy Camargo, Deborah Robert Scott, Janice Parker Millison, and Rick Ana Hernandez Parker the 12 grandchildren that she was extremely proud of: Antonio April Limon Jr., Leroy Anita Limon, Heather Josh Villarreal, Roger Limon, Jessica Yates, Shawn Martinez, Travis Yates, Danielle Yates, Rudy Michael Camargo, Kimberly Scott, and Nathan Millison and 6 greatgrandchildren. She will also be missed by her 4 sisters: Alicia Tomas Hinojosa, Olaya Lopez, Irene Ramirez, and Minerva Raul Arizmendi her brother: Jose A. Lucinda Anzaldua 2 sistersinlaw, Alicia G. Anzaldua and Ofelia Anzaldua numerous nieces and nephews and her beloved Chihuahua and companion, Chico.
In accordance with Angelicas wishes she was cremated. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service officiated by longtime friend Pastor Charles Chuck Myers will be held at 7 p.m. on Monday, January 11, 2010 in the East Chapel of DarlingMouser Funeral Home. The family will greet friends starting at 6 p.m. Monday evening. The interment of her cremains will be at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, January 12, 2010 at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, Angelicas family requests that memorial gifts in her name be made to the American Cancer Society, Rio Grande Valley, 5413 s. McColl Rd., Edinburgh, TX 78529 or to New Beginnings Church Bldg. Fund, 201 N. 54th St., Muskogee, OK 74401.
Angelicas family would like to express their sincere appreciation and gratitude to her longtime caregiver and provider, Delia Gonzalez, for the love and wonderful care that she so generously gave to Angelica. They would also like to thank Dr. Sharma and his staff, Dr. Ugalino and his staff, and the 3rd floor staff Telemetry Unit at VBMCBrownsville for their care and compassion during her illness. May God bless all of you as you continue to minister to others.
