Angelica Saenz Stewart, 91, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend entered into the glory of her eternal life on Monday, Feb. 27, 2017, at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen.
Angie, as she was affectionately known to all, touched the lives of countless of our community's youth as a teacher for 37 years with the BISD. She was a devoted and dedicated teacher at Victoria Heights and Russell Elementary. Angie loved to sew, cook, bake, and go fishing with her husband. Angie was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed not only by her family and friends but by all those fortunate enough to have known her.
Angie was preceded in death by her husband, L.C. Stewart, a newborn son, Glen, her daughter Julie, and four brothers and four sisters.
Left behind to eternally treasure their memories of Angie is her son, Louis C. Stewart and his wife Lisa; three grandchildren: Nadia Sommers, Julianna Stewart, and Kyle Stewart,2 great-grandchildren, and her only surviving sibling Marie Mark. Angie will also be missed by her numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family members.
A graveside service is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 1, 2017, at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens.
