Anne Juhas Perrin, 92, died November 10, 2007 after a short illness. She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Heyward Perrin in 1964 and her granddaughter Tiffany Ann Perrin Senn in 2007.

Anne was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on July 24, 1915 to Joseph and Mari Juhas. She moved with her parents to Brownsville in 1930. She attended El Jardin School from 1930 to 1932. She graduated high school from Holy Angels Academy in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 1933. After graduating from high school, she returned to the Valley and lived on the San Rafael Ranch from 1934 to 1936 and on the Starks Farm from 1936 to 1938. She was a licensed cosmetologist from 1937 to 1941 and worked at Leons Beauty Shop, which was across the street from Den Russ Pharmacy on Elizabeth Street. In 1941 she married Joseph Heyward Perrin at Sacred Heart Church. During World War II, she moved with her husband to Topeka, Kansas where their son James Michael was born in 1943. In 1945, the family returned to Brownsville. In 1946, Joe and Anne started operating Perrins Grocery Market at 205 E. Elizabeth Street in Brownsville. Joe and Anne worked together in the grocery store for 18 years until his death in 1964. Anne lived in Brownsville until 1989, then moved to the Houston area to be closer to her son Jim and family.

Anne was extremely proud of her three grandchildren, Tiffany, Sarita and Jimbo. She had three beautiful great-granddaughters, Anja 16, Sasha 4 and Kaia 1. The grandchildren affectionately called their grandmother Annush, which is the Hungarian pronunciation of Anne. Anne was a talented baker, cook, painter, seamstress, and pianist. Anne is survived by her son James Michael Perrin and wife Janice of Deer Park, Texas; granddaughter Sarita Perrin Bichard and husband James of London, England; grandson James Michael Perrin of Deer Park, Texas; and great granddaughters Anja, Sasha and Kaia Senn and their father Roland of Richmond, Texas.
