Antonio Hernandez

Antonio Hernandez, 90, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother entered into the glory of his eternal life on Wednesday, July 13, 2016, at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen, Texas, surrounded by his loving family.

Antonio was preceded in death by his parents, Maria and Nolberto Hernandez; 3 sisters: Rita, Cuca, and Carmela; and 4 brothers: Salvador, Juan, Pilar, and Pancho.

Left behind to eternally treasure their memories of Antonio is his wife of 68 years; Ramona Hernandez; his children: Eliazar (Celia Esmeralda) Hernandez, Dora (Candelario) Vera, Joel (Ma. Antonia) Hernandez, Arnoldo (Lupita) Hernandez, Gloria (Mariano) Ayala, and Leonel Hernandez; 24 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren with one on the way; and one great-great-grandchild that is on the way. Antonio is also survived by his sister, Josefina (Jose) Hernandez; a brother, Jose Hernandez; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family members.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 17, 2016, from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a prayer service scheduled for 7:00 p.m. in the East Chapel at Darling-Mouser Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, July 18, 2016, at Darling-Mouser Funeral Home. Committal services will follow at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens.

Family members are honored to be serving as Antonio's pallbearers.
