Antonio Noe Tony Villarreal, 59, of Brownsville, our beloved son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, brother-in-law, uncle, and friend entered into the glory of his eternal life on Wednesday, June 10, 2009 at Audie L. Murphy Memorial Veterans Hospital in San Antonio, Texas after a brief illness.
Tony was born in Brownsville on January 16, 1950. He was a proud Marine who served his country honorably during the Vietnam era. After living in California for many years, Tony returned to live in Brownsville to his original family home of 207 E. Adams. His most recent employer was Villarreal Income Tax Service.
Tony was the type of in
idual that was always willing to help those around him, and worked hard to provide for his family. Tony will be dearly missed by everyone fortunate to have known him.
Tony was preceded in death by his first wife, Teresa Villarreal; and by his father, Antonio C. Villarreal.
Left behind to eternally treasure his memory is his mother; Ysidora T. Villarreal; his wife, Rosaura S. de Villarreal; his children: Gabriela, Adriana Villarreal, and Ysidora V. Pea husband Rolando Pea, Cynthia Villarreal and Christopher Villarreal; his brother, Carlos Villarreal, and his sister, Edna V. Guajardo and her husband Dr. Manuel G. Guajardo. He will also be missed by the grandchildren that were his pride and joy: Adriana Lisbeth, Manuel Eduardo, Elisa Ayde Pea; Teresa Jimena, Alana Jimena, Luis Carlos Canales, and Rolando Javier Pea; and his step-children: Diana and her husband Juan Zavala, Elisa Marroquin, and Patricia de Leon; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 12, 2009 from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. with the recitation of the holy rosary at 7:00 in the evening on Friday at Darling-Mouser Funeral Home. The Mass of Christian Resurrection will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 13, 2009 at St. Thomas Catholic Mission, 155 E. Jefferson St., Brownsville, Texas. Entombment will follow in the Mausoleum at Buena Vista Burial Park. The American Legion Post 43 Funeral Honor Guard under the direction of Commander Raul Leal will provide military honors before the entombment.
Serving as pallbearers are: Dr. Manuel G. Guajardo, Carlos Villarreal, Lorenzo Guajardo, Juan Zavala, Rolando Pea, and Carlos Villarreal Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be Amadeo Rodriguez and Dan Spray.
