Arline Hauge

Arline Hauge, 88, beloved mother, aunt, and friend, entered into the glory of her eternal life on Friday, May 24, 2013, at her residence in Brownsville, Texas with her daughter at her side after a valiant battle against Alzheimers Disease.

She was born Rose Arline Bear in Knoxville, Iowa. At a young age, Arline was taken from her parents and consequently spent several years in a childrens home. When she was old enough to work she was sent to work as a housekeeper in California. She later returned to Iowa to work as a hired girl on a farm near Spencer, Iowa. She remained with that family until she met and married Stanley Hauge, while both families were spending the winter in Brownsville, Texas.

She and Stanley returned yearly to North Dakota where they farmed returning to spend the winters in Brownsville each year and eventually retiring here permanently.

Arline loved to cook, garden, and spend time with animals. Arline was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed by all her family and those fortunate to have known her.

Arline was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley Hauge, her son, Stanley Jr., and one known brother, Roy Bear.

Left behind to eternally treasure her memories of her is her daughter: Susan A. Hauge and several nieces and nephews.

In accordance with Arlines wishes she has been cremated. No local services will be held.
