Barbara Parson Ridley

BROWNSVILLE, TX. – Barbara Parson Ridley, 86, of Brownsville, Texas entered into eternal rest on Saturday, the 22nd of May 2021 at Valley View Assisted Living in Harlingen, Texas.

Barbara was born on November 1, 1934 in Paris, Texas, daughter of Harley and Opal Parson. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Brownsville, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Elgan McNeile Ridley, Jr.; her parents, Harley and Opal Parson; and by her siblings Sue Prater, Glen Parson, and Mickey Parson.

Barbara is survived by her children Pamela Hood (Hank), Laurie Oliveira, and Elgan McNeile “Buddy” Ridley III (Bronwyn); her grandchildren Devin Anthony Oliveira, Garrett Collier Oliveira (Laura), Jordan Olivia Hood, Elgan McNeile “Sam” Ridley IV, and Catherine Elizabeth Ridley.

The family will gather for a private service in Runge, Texas.
