Beatrice Jaime Hull

BROWNSVILLE, TX. – It is with a heavy heart that we announce the peaceful and graceful passing of our mother and grandmother, Beatrice Jaime Hull, ninety-one, on Tuesday, the 28th of December 2021. On this day, Beatrice raced towards the love of her life, Felix, who waited impatiently at the gates of heaven for eleven long years for his loving wife, “Bitty”. Felix and Bea were the perfect embodiments of God's eternal and unconditional love that lasted for more than sixty-five years until Felix’s passing in 2011. Together, they bestowed this love onto their children, grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.

Beatrice Jaime Hull was born in Falfurrias, Texas. She attended Premont High School and later married Felix Hull after a short engagement. After marriage, Beatrice focused on supporting her husband, who was serving in the U.S. Navy. Soon thereafter, Beatrice and Felix began a family, and Beatrice instinctively began to nurture and love their children unconditionally. From the beginning, Beatrice and Felix instilled in their children the importance and value of a college education. They committed their time and energy in developing their children’s academic skills, played an active role in their children’s school’s activities, and built a strong home-school partnership with teachers and staff. Beatrice and Felix’s unwavering commitment to their mission proved effective when all four children obtained multiple college degrees.

Bea was a woman of tremendous faith and along with her devoted husband, served as an active member of Saint Elizabeth’s Catholic Church in Plano, Texas. She loved studying the Bible and encouraged her children to faithfully walk in Christ. Accordingly, her greatest joy was spending time with her children Felix, Jr., Dina, Nelda and Jaime; her beloved niece, Esther; and spoiling her grandchildren Mark, Michele, Nikki, Teddy, Lindsay, Christina, Steven, and Laura.

Beatrice Jaime Hull was preceded in death by her husband, Felix Hull, Sr.; father, Emanuel Jaime; mother, Virginia Casares; and step-father, Hortencio Villarreal. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Reynaldo "Nene" Jaime, Raul "Rule" Villarreal, and Adalberto Jaime; and was also preceded in death by Teddy Davenport, Dora Jaime, and Esther Gutierrez.

Beatrice Hull is survived by her children Dr. Felix Hull, Jr. (Dr. Sonia Saldivar-Hull), Dr. Jaime Hull (Lisa), Dina Hull Davenport, Nelda LaGrone (Jim); and six grandchildren, Mark Hull, JD (Chloe), Nikki Davenport McCormick, JD (Blake), Dr. Michelle LaGrone (Jonathan), Lindsey Davenport (William), Christina Hull, Steven Pickens (Macaeli), Laura Gutierrez Tamez, JD ( George); and great-grandchildren, Atticus Pickens, Ansel Pickens, Elena Tamez, and Carlos Tamez.

The family wishes to thank DaVita McKinney-380 Dialysis, Dr. Rehana Saquib, MD, and the staff of Medical City-McKinney for their compassion and service. In lieu of flowers, remembrances and honorariums can be made in memory of Beatrice Hull to the Alzheimer’s Association. We also want to extend our appreciation to Bert Jaime for serving as the officiant.

Due to the current COVID-19 considerations, the immediate family will gather for a private funeral service. Interment will take place in Brownsville, Texas where Beatrice will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband Felix.
