Bertha Denniston

Bertha Denniston, 92, of Brownsville, entered into eternal rest on July 26, 2009 at Valley Baptist Medical Center.

Bertha was born in Webster, South Dakota on March 19, 1917 to Louis J. Deck and Ella M. Forbes. She married Mr. George Denniston on Nobember 12, 1937. The Dennistons had one son, Gordon William Denniston.

Mrs. Denniston was preceded in death by her husband, George and her son, Gordon. She is survived by her sister-in-law, Mrs. Dora Deck of Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin and a niece, Ms. Sandy Knuth of Sugar Grove, Illinois.

She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Brownsville for the past twenty six years. She was very active with the Womens Circle. A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Food Bank co First Presbyterian Church, 435 Palm Blvd., Brownsville, Texas 78520.
