BROWNSVILLE, TX. – Betty Lou Shears Perez entered into eternal rest on Sunday, the 14th of August 2022 in Brownsville, Texas surrounded by her loving family. She was eighty years of age.
Betty was born on August 27, 1941 in Sebastian, Texas, daughter of the late Arley Shears and Consuelo (Connie) Leal Shears Almanza. She was the youngest sibling of two and a proud La Feria High School Lion.
Betty is survived by her husband, Adan Perez Jr. of Edcouch-Elsa, Texas; and she also leaves behind her oldest daughter, Judy Lynn Perez; her son, Ricardo David Perez (Anna); and two grandchildren, Jennifer Lynn Perez and Ricardo David Perez, Jr. She is also survived by her older sister, Arlene Shears (Cecil) Burge, of Brownsville, Texas.
Betty was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend to many. Her family will carry loving memories of Betty’s warm presence, humor, and elegance.
