Bruna P. Galvan, 94, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother entered into the glory of her eternal life on Thursday, May 06, 2009 at Spanish Meadows Nursing Home surrounded by her loving family.
A native of Beleno, Texas, Mrs. Galvan had been a lifetime resident of Brownsville. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Cathedral. She loved gardening and tending to her plants and had a green thumb. She especially loved spending time with her family. She will be greatly missed by all those fortunate to have known her.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Alejandro Galvan; 2 daughters, Margarita Alvarado and Victoria Alvarado; one son, Alejandro Galvan Jr.; 2 sisters, Concepcin Pea and Lydia Galvan and one brother, Lorenzo Padron.
Left behind to eternally treasure her memory and her children: Maria Hortencia Santos Sauceda, Maria Luisa Samuel Munivez, Connie Alfonso Lee, Carmen Julian Ramirez, Irene Rafael Solis, Galdino Ninfa Galvan, and Cruz Olivia Galvan; 2 sons-in-law, Jose Alvarado and Gilberto Alvarado, a daughter-in-law, Librada Galvan; 38 grandchildren, 70 plus 2 on the way great-grandchildren, and 24 with one on the way great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will begin at noon on Friday, May 8, 2009 and continue until 9 p.m. with the recitation of the holy rosary at 7:00 in the evening on Friday at Darling-Mouser Funeral Home. The Mass of Christian Resurrection will be at 3 p.m. on Saturday, May 10, 2009 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church at the corner of East 6th and Elizabeth Streets. Committal services will follow to Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens. Brunas grandsons are honored to be serving as her pallbearers.
