Carlos A. Cisneros

Carlos A. Cisneros, 46, our beloved son, father, grandfather, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, and friend entered into eternal rest on Friday, July 3, 2015, in San Antonio, Texas.

A native and lifetime resident of Brownsville, Carlos, was well known in our community which he loved, having served two terms (June 2002 to June 2009) as the District #3 City Commissioner. Carlos had a great love for Brownsville and a passion to serve our community.

Carlos was a great man who was passionate about life and everything he did. He was very loving with a great sense of humor but most of all was very respectful to everyone but especially to his mother and father, children, and siblings. Carlos was an avid Dallas Cowboy Fan who loved cheering the "Boys" on to victory during football season. He loved all sports and was a great coach but what was most important to Carlos was his family. He loved his children and grandchildren; they were "the motor in his life".

At the time of his unexpected passing, Carlos was working as a Construction Superintendent for Descon LLP in San Antonio, Texas. Carlos was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed not only by his family and friends but by all those fortunate to have known him.

Carlos is survived by his children, Laura Lizette (Jacob) Cisneros-Olmos and Carlos A. (Jocelyn) Cisneros II; two grandchildren: Jonah Jacob and Luca James Olmos and Carlos Alberto Cisneros III, who is on the way; his parents: Zoila and Alfonso Cisneros; his siblings: Lupita (Manuel) Hernandez, Alfonso (Yolanda) Cisneros Jr., Laura Graciela (Luis) Ramirez, and Norma Patricia Cisneros; his children's mother, Elena Cisneros along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and other extended family members.

Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 7th and continue through 8:00 p.m. with the recitation of the holy rosary scheduled for 7:00 p.m. in the East Chapel at Darling-Mouser Funeral Home. The Funeral Mass will be at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 8th, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 1914 Barnard Road, in Brownsville, Texas. All services will conclude after the Mass and in accordance with Carlos' wishes cremation will follow.

Carlos Cisneros II, Alfonso Cisneros Jr., Alfonso Cisneros III, Jacob Olmos, Manuel Hernandez, and Luis Ramirez are honored to be serving as Carlos' pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts in Carlos' name may be made to the Brownsville Sports Park, in care of the BCIC, 1001 East Elizabeth St., Brownsville, TX 78520.
