Carlos Daniel Gregory

Carlos Daniel Gregory, 80, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, July 19, 2015, at Valley Regional Medical Center in Brownsville, Texas with his family at his side.

Born in San Diego, Texas, Carlos had been a resident of Brownsville for numerous years. Carlos was an Army veteran who served our country proudly. Carlos served our community for 30+ years as a school administrator for the BISD, where he impacted the lives of countless of our community's youth. Carlos was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed not only by his family and friends but by all those fortunate to have known him.

Carlos was preceded in death by his mother, Catarina Gregory, and a sister, Norma Lavios.

Carlos is survived by his wife of 50+ years, Irma M. Gregory; four sons: Carlos D. (Victoria) II, Michael A. (Cynthia), Stephen P. (Eileen), and John A. Gregory; the ten grandchildren that were his pride and joy: Emily, Lauren, Madeleine, Carlos D. III, Jonah, Kristen, Michael A. II, Joshua, Isabella, and Michaela Gregory; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended members of the family.

Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 23 and continue through 8:00 p.m. with the recitation of the holy rosary scheduled for 7:00 p.m. Thursday evening in the East Chapel at Darling-Mouser Funeral Home. The Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 24, 2015 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 1914 Barnard Rd. We ask that everyone meet at the church for the Mass as there will not be a procession. All services will conclude after the Mass and in accordance with Carlos' wishes, cremation will follow.

Military honors will be rendered by the VFW Post 2035 after the Mass.
