Cecilia C. Garza

Mrs. Cecilia C. Garza, 88, of Brownsville, Texas, beloved mother, grandmother, greatgrandmother, and aunt entered into the glory of her eternal life on Wednesday, May 5, 2010 at Valley Regional Medical Center surrounded by her loving family.

A native and lifetime resident of Brownsville, she was a devoted wife and mother who gave her all to her family. A devout Catholic, she was a longtime parishioner at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church.

She was preceded in death and has now joined her beloved husband, Emiliano Garza and her brothers and sisters: Ramiro Cisneros, Armando Cisneros, Federico Cisneros, Placida C. Cisneros, Tomasita Cisneros, Josefina C. Hinojosa, and Bene C. Jimenez.

Left behind to eternally treasure their memories of her are her loving children: Emiliano Garza Jr. and his wife Manuela, Olga G. Cuevas and her husband Abel, Elvia Garza, and Yolanda G. Saenz and her husband Severino the grandchildren that were the apple of her eye: Oscar E. Garza, Cecilia M. Garza, Christina A. Garza, Melissa D. Saenz, and Daniel E. Garza. She will also be missed by her greatgrandchildren, Eduardo A. Garza, Oscar D. Garza, Brandon Monforte, and her numerous nieces and nephews.


Visitation was held Thursday, May 6, 2010 from 1 to 9p.m. at DarlingMouser Funeral Home and will resume, Friday, May 7, 2010 at 9 A.M. and continue through 9 P.M. with the recitation of the holy rosary at 7:30 P.M. this evening at DarlingMouser. The Mass of Christian Resurrection will be at 10 A.M. Saturday, May 8, 2010 at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church, 1055 Military Hwy. Alfonso Cisneros, Benjamin Cisneros, Abel Cuevas, Oscar Eduardo Garza, Reynaldo Gonzalez, and Dr. Joe Jimenez are honored to be serving as her pallbearers.
