Celedonia R. Rodriguez

Celedonia R. Rodriguez, 93, of Brownsville, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, December 15, 2009 at Valley Regional Medical Center.

The daughter of Asencion Rivera and Carlota Cisneros, Mrs. Rodriguez was preceded in death by her husband of 74 years, Felix G. Rodriguez, a daughter, Carlota R. Rodriguez of Houston, two sons, Pedro R. and Eduardo R. Rodriguez, both who lived in Brownsville and by her brother, Master Sgt. Pedro Rivera, who also resided in Brownsville. She is survived by a daughter, Stella R.Eduardo Errisuriz of Brownsville, three sons, Guadalupe Herminia Rodriguez, Felix Mary de la Luz Rodriguez, Jr. both of Brownsville and Carlos Mary Lou Rodriguez of Garland, Texas and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, great-great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will begin on Friday, December 18, 2009 at 4 p.m., with the recitation of the holy rosary to be held at 7p.m., in the chapel of Darling-Mouser. Mass of Resurrection will be held at 10a.m., Saturday, December 19, at St. Luke Catholic Church with burial to follow at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Jesus M. Errisuriz, Jairo Garcia, Felix Rodriguez III, Jonathan Rodriguez, Carlos G. Yada and Fermin Banda. Honorary pallbearer will be Specialist Joseph M. Fusco.

The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the Brownsville Nursing Center for the care they provided during the last seven months, Dr. Alberto Almeida and Staff, Dr. Lorenzo R. Pelly and Staff, and Monsignor Bert Diaz for their loving care and compassion. Eternally grateful to Maria Isabel Lisa Fusco granddaughter for her attentiveness, love and for always being there for her grandmother, Mrs. Rodriguez.
