Cesar V. Trevio, 86, our beloved father, fatherinlaw, grandfather, and greatgrandfather entered into the glory of his eternal life on Saturday, February 13, 2010 at Sunshine Haven in Olmito, Texas.
A native of China, Nuevo Leon, Mexico, Mr. Trevio had been a resident of Brownsville for a number of years. He owned and operated Alicias Flowers and Novelties. A member of the Pentecostal church, he was a man of deep faith and devotion to his Lord and Savior. He alongside his wife were instrumental in the founding of several Pentecostal churches in Brownsville and the surrounding area.
He was devoted to his family and was the anchor that bound the family together. A tenor, he loved to sing, and at one time sang professionally.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Alicia Mendoza de Trevio his parents Julio and Librada Trevio a sister, Elvira Trevio Gutierrez and two brothers: Joel and Felipe Trevio.
Left behind to eternally treasure their memories of him are his four sons: Julio Cesar and his wife Claudia, Oscar Alonso and his wife Ernestina, Jorge Luis and his wife Patricia, and Jesus Enrique and his wife Laura Trevio his grandchildren: Leonardo, Clara, Bruno, Izar, Ezti, Ernestina, Oscar, Patricia, George, Laura, Jesus Mildred Cesar, and Carlos Trevio as greatgranddaughter, Luna Trevio a sisterinlaw, Elvia Roque Gonzalez and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will begin at 3 p.m. today, Sunday, February 14, 2010 and continue through 9 p.m. with a prayer service at 7 this evening in the East Chapel of DarlingMouser Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. on Monday, February 15, 2010 at DarlingMouser. Interment will follow at Buena Vista
