Cheryl D. Fitzgibbons, 61, beloved daughter, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, sister, and good friend entered into the glory of her eternal life on Friday, August 1, 2008 at Valley Baptist Medical Center-Brownsville with her beloved sons at her side.
Cheryl, who was born in Memphis, TN and grew up in Missouri, had been a resident of Brownsville for a number of years. As a teacher and counselor for the B.I.S.D. for 28 years, she touched the lives of many. She dedicated her life to the education of our children and had earned several Masters Degrees in addition to her bachelors degree. She loved spending time with her family, being at the beach, and playing with her granddaughter, Ashley.
Left behind to eternally treasure her memory are her sons: David Ryan and his wife Stephanie Fitzgibbons and their daughter Ashley, who was her grandmothers pride joy, all who reside in Sugarland, TX and Benjamin Michael Fitzgibbons who resides in Austin, TX; her mother and step-father, Doris and Thomas Hermon from Florida; her father and step-mother, Tom and Betty Lincoln from Tennessee; and a sister, Susan Anpaugh from Indiana.
As per her wishes, Cheryl was cremated and a Memorial Service celebrating her life will be held on Tuesday, August 5, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. in the East Chapel of Darling-Mouser Funeral Home officiated by Jimmy Odabashin, Pastor. The family will greet friends starting at 10 a.m. Private interment of her cremains will be held at a later time.
