Christopher Marvin Piercy

MAGNOLIA, TX. – Christopher Marvin Piercy, loving husband, father, son, friend, and a brother to us all, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, the 26th of June 2023 at Valley Regional Medical Center in Brownsville, Texas. He was fifty-two years of age.

Christopher, affectionately known as Charlie Papa, Cono, and Cactus Jack, was born in Würzburg, Germany on June 30, 1970. He attended Embry–Riddle Aeronautical University and Texas A&M University in Kingsville, Texas. A proud veteran, Christopher served in the United States Navy and was later an air traffic controller. His favorite pastimes included sailing, playing poker, helping with tech, and enjoyed a beer with his brothers.

Preceding Christopher in death was his father, James C. Piercy; and his father-in-law, Catarino Gracia.

Survivors include his loving and devoted wife, Leticia Piercy; his beloved daughters Kristen Paige Piercy Horner (Jeffrey Lee Horner), Samantha Renée Piercy, and Madison Hope Piercy; his mother, Virginia Mae Burton, and step-father, Johnny Burton; his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law David Gracia (Janet Kennedy Gracia ), Daniel Gracia (Alexandra Gomezplata), Rene Gracia, Catarino Gracia, Jr., and Elva Gracia Rangel (Carlos Rangel).

Visiting hours will be held on Friday, the 30th of June 2023 between the hours of one o’clock in the afternoon and nine o'clock at night within the East Chapel of Darling-Mouser Funeral Home. Military honors will begin at six o'clock in the evening, followed by a recitation of the holy rosary and a Celebration of Life Service. All local services will conclude Friday night. Cremation will follow.
