Clemente M. Valdez

BROWNSVILLE, TX. - Clemente Moreno Valdez entered into eternal rest on Friday, the 22nd of November 2024 in the comfort of his Brownsville residence surrounded by his family. He was 78 years of age.

Clemente was born in Brownsville, Texas on March 16, 1946, son of Juan Manuel Valdez and Ambrosia Moreno Valdez. A proud veteran of the United States Army, Clemente served in Vietnam where he met the love of his life, Dang Thi Phan. He was a a skilled diesel mechanic and enjoyed spending time with his family. 

Preceding Clemente in death were his parents, Juan Manuel Valdez and Ambrosia Moreno Valdez; his son, Phan Hai; and his brother, Juan M. Valdez (Antonia).

Survivors include his loving and devoted wife, Dang Thi Phan Valdez; his children Johnny P. Valdez (Rocio), Ramon P. Valdez (Phoung), Lethi P. Medina (Jose Sr.), and Clemente P. Valdez (Jennifer); his grandchildren Steven Valdez, Kevin Valdez, Minh Tan Valdez, Ryan Valdez, Jose Medina Jr., Ramon Medina, Lisa L. Medina, Luis Sanchez, Sylvia Garcia, and Mia Garcia; great-grandchildren, Serenity V. Medina and Helena Valdez; his brother, Ramon M. Valdez (Guadalupe +); his nieces and nephews Ramon Valdez, Belinda Valdez, Juan Valdez Jr., Roxanna Sanchez, and Rosalia Valdez; in addition to several loving cousins in San Antonio, Florida, and Mexico.

Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, the 26th of November 2024 between the hours of twelve noon and nine o'clock at night within the East Chapel of Darling-Mouser Funeral Home. 

A Chapel Service will commence at one o’clock in the afternoon on Wednesday, the 27th of November 2024. Interment with military honors will then follow, via an escorted procession, at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens, 4464 Old Port Isabel Road, Brownsville.
