Concepcion "Conchita" Zepeda Bazan

Concepcion Zepeda Bazan, 99, our beloved mother, grandmother, greatgrandmother, aunt, and friend entered into the glory of her eternal life on Tuesday, July 30, 2013, at Valley Regional Medical Center in Brownsville, Texas surrounded by her loving family.

Conchita, as she was affectionately known to all, was a native of Linares, Nuevo Leon, Mexico. Conchita came to the U. S. when she was twelve years old. Her family settled in Harlingen where Conchita married and she later moved to Brownsville where she lived until her passing. She was a hardworking woman who raised five children all on her own. Conchita loved being with her family. We are grateful and blessed for having had such a wonderful mother and role model in our lives. A devout Catholic, Conchita, in her younger years, was a parishioner at Our Lady of Guadalupe. Conchita was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed by all her family and those fortunate to have known her.

Conchita was preceded in death by her parents a grandson, Gonzalo Chew Bazan a sister, Dolores Reyes and a brother, Bruno Zepeda.

Left behind to eternally treasure their memories of her are her children: Berta Alfonso Flores, Viola Sevedeo Galvan, Elida Bazan, Concepion Guadalupe Reyes, and Gilberto Bazan fourteen grandchildren, twentyeight greatgrandchildren, and nineteen greatgreatgrandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, friends, and other extended family members.
