BROWNSVILLE, TX. - Connie S. Carson-Rourke entered into enteral rest on Thursday, the 3rd of September 2020 in Olmito, Texas at the age of seventy-two.

Connie was born in Wilmington, Ohio to her parents Charles Lee Carson and Alice Mae Spurgeon on September 16, 1947.Adventuring the outdoors, Connie often enjoyed taking long walks, strolling along the beach of South Padre Island, and tending to her growing collection of exotic cactuses and plants, and the beach. Some of her other favorite pastimes included going shopping, avidly reading, and having a great time dancing alongside her husband Norman. Together, they also spent time with family and traveling abroad. She also loved her four cats that brought her so much joy within the home. Connie will be greatly missed by all of those fortunate enough to have known her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Lee Carson and Alice Mae Spurgeon Carson.

Left behind to cherish her memory is her loving and devoted husband, Norman E. Rourke; daughters, Stephanie Biddick (Steve) and Sheila Finley (Bob) both of Oklahoma; her siblings: sisters, Carrol Dun (Vic +) and Rita Karen Shaw (David), and brother, Robert Nolan Carson (Cheryl); as well as her five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and nieces Tammy Kilner (Brett) and Kim Ruby (Brian) both of Ohio.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held and announced at a later date. In lieu of floral arrangements and customary remembrances, please consider donations in Connie’s name to the American Cancer Society (www.cancer.org) or to Sunshine Haven of Olmito, Texas (www.sunshinehaveninc.org).
