In 1968, at age 36, she became a widow and dedicated her life to educating and parenting her two sons and her daughter who at the time were aged 12, 10, and 7. Consuelo had a passion for cooking and loved making meals for her family. During Sunday lunches at “Tita Consuelo’s” house, she prepared delicious dishes giving the attending multi-generation family members an opportunity to catch up and spend their time together. She loved classical music and her favorites where the Chopin Nocturnes. She very much enjoyed painting where her favorite medium was oil. She read history books, watched “oldies but goodies,” and loved cats and dogs, in particular German Shepherds.
She was preceded in death by her father and mother; her loving husband; and her siblings Daniel, Luciano, Berta, Romeo, and Blanca.
Consuelo is survived by her brother, Ruben; her three children, Augusto III, Jorge Patricio, and Consuelito; 7 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and several sisters-in-law, cousins, nieces and nephews.
