Cosme Sanchez

Mr. Cosme Sanchez, 86, our beloved father, grandfather, greatgrandfather, brother, uncle, and friend entered into the glory of his eternal life on Friday, November 23, 2012 at his residence in Brownsville, TX surrounded by his loving family.

Cosme who was born in Kingsville, Texas, had been a longtime resident of Brownsville. He served his country proudly during WW II in the U. S. Army. Cosme worked for numerous years with the Brownsville PUB retiring as a supervisor several years ago. Cosme, a devout Catholic, was a parishioner at Christ the King Catholic Church where he was a member of the Charismatic movement. Cosme was a true example of being a Good Samaritan. He was always there willing to lend a helping hand to anyone who needed the help.

Cosme a devoted father and grandfather, enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Cosme was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed by those fortunate to have known him.

Cosme was preceded in death by his wife, Guadalupe Sanchez a daughter, Norma S. LLanes his parents and two brothers, Martin and Manuel Sanchez.

Left behind to eternally treasure their memories of him are his children: Cosme Sally Sanchez Jr., Cindy Gorena, and Jerry Sanchez a sister, Guadalupe Sanchez three brothers, Ted, Miguel, and Claudio Sanchez five grandchildren: Patricia Ann Gorena, Desire William Taliancich, Daniel C. Sanchez, Betsy Sanchez, and Kathryn Sanchez numerous greatgrandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other extended family members.

Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday, November 25, 2012, and continue through 9:00 p.m. with the recitation of the holy rosary scheduled for 7 p.m. Sunday evening in the East Chapel at DarlingMouser Funeral Home. The Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, November 26, 2012 at Christ the King Catholic Church, 2255 Southmost Road. All services will conclude after the Mass and in accordance with Mr. Sanchezs wishes, cremation will follow.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts in Mr. Sanchezs name may be made to Christ the King Catholic Church, 2255 Southmost Road, Brownsville, Texas 78521.
