BROWNSVILLE, TX. – Dale Arnold Hasty entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, the 13th of December 2022 at Sunshine Haven in Olmito, Texas. He was eighty-four years of age.
Dale was born in Pekin, Illinois on August 22, 1938, son of Robert James Hasty and Juanita Englinia (Cook) Hasty. A finishing carpenter, Dale built numerous playgrounds and kitchen cabinets while volunteering in Mexico as a missionary. He also fixed up old cars back home in Illinois, made and sold pizzas to various grocery stores, and operated an ice cream carts business.
Preceding Dale in death were his parents, Robert and Juanita C. Hasty; his brother, Harry; his sister, Nellie; and his nephew, Robbie.
Survivors include his children Christy, Robert, Greg, and Curtis; his sister, Sue; dear friends Gurney, Francisco, Jose, and Natalie; and numerous nieces, nephews, and many others.
Dale will be laid to rest beside his father at Des Moines Cemetery in New Mexico in the Spring of 2023.
The family wishes to express their gratitude and appreciation to Valley Baptist Medical Center – Brownsville, Sunshine Haven – Olmito, and to everyone involved in keeping Dale comfortable until his passing. Your kindness and the special way in which Dale was cared for will forever be remembered. A special thank you to Steven R.
