Daniel "Dan" Anderson

BROWNSVILLE, TX. – Daniel Anderson passed away on Wednesday, the 17th of April 2024. 

He was a loving husband, father of three, grandfather of nine, brother, uncle, and loyal friend to many. 

Dan graduated from Minnesota State University Moorhead in Moorhead, Minnesota with a degree in Accounting. He was a successful businessman and held several roles in various companies and has been retired for many years. Dan was very active for several decades at the Church of the Advent, Episcopal participating in the vestry, Lay Eucharistic Ministry, and numerous committees. He enjoyed performing and creating sets at the Camille Playhouse and loved fishing, watching the sport of Nascar Racing, and keeping up with farming. 

Dan was blessed to share forty-eight years of marriage with his sweetheart and loving wife, Linda Anderson. She preceded him in death in 2014. Dan was also blessed to spend the last seven years with his loving companion, Cecily Wilson. 

Family members left to cherish his memories are his children, son, Scott Anderson (Julie), daughter, Heidi Wild (Brian), and son, Kirk Anderson (Genelle); his grandchildren Jack, Garret, and Jenna Wild, Madison, Ridgley, and Hunter Anderson, and Alexandra and Evert Anderson and Evie McKenna; his sisters, Connie Coryell (Sam) and Darlene Anderson (Bruce); his sister-in-law, Nancy O’Reilly; in addition to many nieces and nephews; and Cecily’s sons, John and Matthew Wilson, and her grandson, Logan Wilson. Dan was preceded in death by his loving parents, Wesley and Helen Anderson. 

A Memorial Service will be held at one o’clock in the afternoon on Saturday, the 27th of April 2024 at Central Christian Church, 1100 E. Alton Gloor Boulevard, Brownsville. A reception will follow the service. 

There will be a private service in June for the family.
