Daniel G. Rodriguez

Daniel G. Rodriguez, 86, our beloved husband, father, grandfather, and greatgrandfather entered into the glory of his eternal life on Tuesday, December 09, 2014, at his residence in Brownsville, Texas, surrounded by his loving family.

Daniel was a faithful and devoted employee for the Brownsville PUB. He retired after 35 years of service. Daniel was a longtime parishioner of St. Marys Catholic Church. Daniel was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed not only by his family and friends but by all those fortunate to have known him.

Daniel was preceded in death by his parents, Josefa and Celedonio Rodriguez a son, Daniel Rodriguez Jr. and three grandchildren: Steven Rodriguez, Jamie L. Pimentel, and Christien D. Pimentel.

Left behind to eternally treasure their memories of him is his loving and devoted wife of 62 years, Ester Sanchez Rodriguez his children: Diana Ernesto Pimentel Jr., Guadalupe Lupita Felipe Saenz, Sylvia Richard Sierra, Arturo Rodriguez, Mary Lou Gonzales, and Rolando Beatriz Rodriguez eight grandchildren: Isaac Crystal Rodriguez, Ernesto Edith Pimentel III, Jessica A. Robert Guzman, Tommy L. Vanessa Gonzales, Jeremy Gonzales, Ashley Frank Gomez, Arturo Kimberly Rodriguez, and Daniel Rodriguez and fifteen greatgrandchildren.

Visitation will begin at 12 Noon and continue until 9:00 p.m. with a rosary service scheduled for 7:00 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 11th in the East Chapel at DarlingMouser Funeral Home. The Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 12th at St. Marys Catholic Church, 1914 Barnard Road. Committal services will follow at Buena Vista Burial Park.

Rolando Rodriguez, Felipe Saenz, Richard Sierra, Ernesto Pimentel III, Isaac Rodriguez, and Tommy Gonzales are honored to be serving as Daniels pallbearers.

Ernesto Pimentel Jr., Jeremy Gonzales, Julio Serrano, Arturo Garza, and Arturo Rodriguez will serve as honorary pallbearers.

Daniels family would like to thank Gentiva Hospice for all their support. Special thanks also to his caregiver, Rosario Lopez.
