Dario Garcia Peña, 75, beloved husband, father, gandfather, brother, and friend entered into the glory of his eternal life on Wednesday, June 13, 2018, at Valley Regional Medical Center in Brownsville, Texas surrounded by his loving family.
Tiger, as he was affectionately known to all, was a native and lifetime resident of Brownsville. Dario was an electrician by trade and he was a dedicated and devoted employee with the Brownsville PUB for over 30 years before retiring to enjoy the fruits of his labor. Dario was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed not only by his family and friends, but by all those fortunate enough to have known him.
Dario was preceded in death by his parents, Rosa and Carlos Peña; and 2 sisters: Gregoria Peña and Maria del Rosario Rodriguez.
Left behind to eternally treasure the memories they have of Dario are his loving and devoted wife of 31 years, Martha Cisneros Peña; his children: Diana (Santiago) Nava, David Peña, Lisa Peña, James (Lety) Estrada, Juanita (Nick) Sultimier, Joseph (Heather) Estrada, and John Anthony (Georgina) Estrada; 13 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Dario will also be missed by his 4 brothers: Carlos (Sofia), Ismael (Aurora), Manuel (Maria) and Alfonso (Juanita) Peña along with numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family members.
Visitation will begin at 3:00 p.m. and continue through 9:00 p.m. on Friday, June 15, 2018, in the East Chapel at Darling-Mouser Funeral Home. The recitation of the Holy Rosary is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. Friday evening at Darling-Mouser. A Funeral Liturgical Service is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 16, 2018, in the East Chapel at Darling-Mouser Funeral Home. Committal services will follow at Buena Vista Burial Park.
