Derek R. Driscoll

Derek Randolph Driscoll passed away at 1:51 p.m. on Friday, October 28, 2016, at the age of forty-five at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Brownsville, Texas.

Derek is survived by his parents, Patricia D. Taylor of Brownsville and Alva E. Driscoll of Weatherford, Texas, and was the step-son of the late Gilbert R. Taylor of Brownsville. Derek is also survived by his sister, Candice Monk of Alvarado, Texas, and two nephews, Christopher and Jonathan Arndt of Fort Worth, Texas.

Derek was born in May of 1971 in Fort Worth, Texas. He moved to Brownsville just prior to his sixth birthday. Derek attended Brownsville schools and the University of Texas at Brownsville. He was active in the local club scene as a DJ both here and in Matamoros for many years.
Derek was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed not only by his family and friends but by those fortunate to have known him.

Visitation will begin at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 3, 2016, in the East Chapel at Darling-Mouser Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life Service is scheduled for 4:00 p.m. with the Reverend Jacob Vincent officiating. All services will conclude on Thursday afternoon and cremation will follow.
