Domingo S. Garza, 89, of Brownsville, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, December 16, 2010 at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Brownsville.
Mr. Garza was an U.S. Army veteran during World War II in the Pacific.
He was preceded in death by his parents,. Narciso and Isabel S. Garza, his wife, Petra Garza, and his brothers, Guadalupe and Dioncio Garza. He is survived by his daughter, Frances Joel Jr. Arias three grandsons, Joel Celeste Arias III, Joseph Cynthia Arias and Jesse Rene Arias one greatgranddaughter, Kayli Victoria Arias all of Brownsville, two brothers, Servando Garza of Dallas and Pentecostes Garza of Brownsville a sister, Inocencia Amaro of Corpus Christi two halfsisters, Yolanda Roberts and Carolina Salas a half brother, Patricio Garza, a sisterinlaw, Celia Perez a brotherinlaw, Rodolfo Armendariz all of Brownsville, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will begin Friday, December 17, 2010 at 10a.m., and continue until 9p.m., with the recitation of the holy rosary to be held at 7p.m., in the Chapel of DarlingMouser Funeral Home. Presentation of the U.S. Flag will be done at the funeral home prior to the rosary by the American Legion Post 43 Honor Guard under the command of Raul J. Leal, Jr. All the services will conclude on Friday evening. As per Mr. Garzas request he will be cremated. Entombment will be held at a later date.
