Dora L. Quintana, 82, our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, greatgrandmother, aunt, and friend entered into the glory of her eternal life on Saturday, September 21, 2013, at Valley Regional Medical Center surrounded by her loving family.

Dora, a native of McAllen, had been a resident of Brownsville for a number of years. Dora received her Masters Degree from Pan American University. She worked for Texas Southmost College as a counselor and testing officer. After the TSCUT merger, Dora continued to work for UTB as a counselor and retired after 29 years on August 31, 1993.

Doras passion was her family. She was a devoted wife and mother, and her family was everything to her. Dora was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed by all her family and those fortunate to have known her.

Dora was preceded in death by her parents, Josefa V. and Felipe Lozano a daughter, Erica Quintana and two sisters, Elodia Saldaa and Irma L. Gawenda.

Left behind to eternally treasure their memories of her are her husband of 60 years Pelayo Quintana her children: David O. Belinda Quintana, Daniel H. Quintana, D. Myra Quintana, R. Dimitri Elizabeth Quintana, and Drucilla Roger Bailey Quintana six grandchildren eight greatgrandchildren a soninlaw, Paul DeFuria a brotherinlaw, Dr. Peter B. Gawenda, and numerous nieces, nephews, friends, and other extended family members.

Viewing will begin at 5:00 p.m. with the family receiving friends starting at 6:00 p.m. and continuing through 9:00 p.m. on Monday, September 23, 2013, with the recitation of the holy rosary scheduled for 7:00 p.m. Monday evening, in the East Chapel at DarlingMouser Funeral Home. A chapel service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 24, 2013, in the East chapel at DarlingMouser Funeral Home. Committal services will follow at Buena Vista Burial Park.

Doras grandsons: Jason, Matthew, Dimitri, and David Quintana and Philipp Gawenda and her soninlaw, Roger Bailey are honored to be serving as Doras pallbearers. Paul DeFuria will serve as an honorary pallbearer.
