Dorina Siller Alviar, 83, passed away Tuesday, October 31, 2017 at her home in Brownsville, TX surrounded by family members. She was born on October 26, 1934 in Brownsville, TX to Abelardo & Catarina Siller. She was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses on December 17, 1955 and was a fine example of faith and loyalty for all those around her. She was a beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother, aunt, and great-grandmother who will truly be missed.
Dorina is survived by her husband of 58 years Antonio Alviar, her children: Aida (Santiago) Casas and Antonio (Dinaluisa) Alviar Jr, her 8 grandchildren: Nathan (Priscilla) Casas, Abraham Casas, Audrie Casas, Anthony Alviar, Andrew Alviar, Jordan (Carolyn) Smith, Autumn Smith and Ashley Smith, and her 4 great-grandchildren Kaleb Casas, Mia Casas, Liam Smith and River Smith, and her sister Maria Lydia Briones. She is preceded in death by her parents, 2 sisters and 4 brothers.
Visitation will be held Sunday, November 5, 2017 from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. with a discourse at 7 p.m. at the Darling-Mouser Funeral Home. Burial services will be Monday, November 6, 2017 at 10 a.m. at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens.
