Eduardo Hinojosa Eddie, 48, of Brownsville, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, September 30, 2009 at his residence in Brownsville.
Eduardo was a U.S. Navy veteran during Desert Storm. To all who knew and loved him, he was a very caring and giving person, who loved to minister to people especially the youth. He served as a Catholic Chaplain during his service in the Navy. He was President of the Pace High School Band Boosters during the late 1990s. He also had a tremendous passion for cooking.
He is preceded in death by his Brother, Jesus Maria Hinojosa, Jr., Mother, Irma Josefina Hinojosa, Maternal Grandparents, Josefina Alfonso Alanis, Paternal Grandparents, Teodocio Maria de la Cruz Hinojosa.
Left to eternally cherish his memories is his daughter, Vanessa Rachel Hinojosa, his Father, Jesus Maria Hinojosa, his step-mother, Maximinia Hinojosa, his siblings, Maria Mary Del Rosario Pancoast, Jose Joe Luis Hinojosa, Juan Johnny Antonio Hinojosa, Irma Gerardo Aguilera, Laura Hinojosa, Cristina Rupert Bodden, Mario Alberto Hinojosa and Maricela Hinojosa, his nieces and nephews, Audra Victoria Pancoast, Jarrod Travis Pancoast, Samantha Josephine Pancoast, Austin Joseph Hinojosa, Laura Ashley Aguilera, Sabrina Rosa Aguilera, Michael Freeman Bodden, Maria Herminia Bodden, Angel Hinojosa and Great-Grandnephew, Oscar Ezquiel Meraz, Jr., a step-daughter, Keila Lacy Hinojosa and his caregiver and companion, Martha Martinez.
Visitation will begin Friday, October 2, 2009 at 3p.m., with the recitation of the Holy Rosary to be held at 7:30p.m., in the East Chapel of Darling-Mouser.
Mass of Resurrection will be held at 12 noon, Saturday, October 3, at Christ the King Catholic Church with burial to follow to the Donna City Cemetery in Donna, Texas. Military honors will be conducted at the graveside by the VFW Funeral Honor Guard Post 2035 under the direction of District Commander Luis Lucio.
Pallbearers will be Jose Luis Hinojosa, Juan Antonio Hinojosa, Mario Alberto Hinojosa, Jarrod Travis Pancoast, and Austin Joseph Hinojosa.
