Electra Pantel Garcia

Mrs. Electra Pantel Garcia, 81, our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend entered into the glory of her eternal life on Thursday, October 18, 2012 at Angel Care in Harlingen, Texas.

Electra graduated from Brownsville High School in 1948. After graduation, she attended St. Marys School of Nursing where she obtained her degree. Electra was a faithful and devoted employee with the Texas Mental Health and Mental Retardation Center MHMR, where she served as the Director of Nurses. Electra was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed by those fortunate to have known her.

Electra was preceded in death by her parents, James and Paula Pantel and a sister, Mary L. Lucio.

Left behind to eternally treasure their memories of her is her loving and devoted husband of 55 years, Jose Angel Garcia her children: Norma L. Garcia, Debra A. Freeman, Sandra J. DeLeon, and James P. Garcia two grandchildren two sisters: Lucy E. and Anna Marie Pantel and numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family members.

Visitation will begin on Sunday, October 21, 2012 at 4:00 p.m. with the recitation of the holy rosary at 6:00 p.m. Sunday evening. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 7:00 p.m. All services will conclude on Sunday evening, and in accordance with Mrs. Garcias wishes cremation will follow.
