Eleno Deanda, Jr.

Eleno Deanda, Jr., 73, of Brownsville, entered into eternal rest on August 24, 2009 at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Brownsville.

Mr. Deanda was a U.S. Army Veteran.

Eleno was preceded in death by his parents, Eleno Deanda, Sr. and Maria Luisa R. Deanada, a sister, Francisca Deanda, a brother, Candelario Deanda and by a sister-in-law, Alicia G. Deanda. He is survived by his loving wife of 51 yrs, Ofelia Gracia Deanda, two sons, Eleno Edna Deanda III and Javier Maria Deanda, a daughter, Sylvia D. Manuel Lopez, a brother, Felix Deanda, 8 grandchildren, 1 great-grandsons, numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will begin Wednesday, August 26, 2009 at 9a.m., and continue until 9p.m., with the recitation of the holy rosary to be held at 7p.m., in the East Chapel of Darling-Mouser. Mass of Resurrection will be held at 2p.m., Thursday, August 27, at Holy Family Catholic Church with burial to follow to Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens. Military rites will be conducted at the gravesite by the VFW Funeral Honor Guard under the direction of District Commander Luis Lucio.

Honored to be serving as Mr. Deandas pallbearers are Eleno Deanda III, Javier Deanda, Carlos Deanda, Jose Deanda, Candelario Deanda, III and Arnoldo Gracia.
