Elisa Martinez

OLMITO, TX. – Elisa Martinez entered into eternal rest on Monday, the 11th of April 2022 in Brownsville, Texas at the age of sixty.

Elisa was born in Brownsville, Texas on February 27, 1962, daughter of Santiago B. Martinez and Maria Magdalena Cortez Martinez. Throughout her career, she worked at the Olmito Water Supply Company and

Edelstein’s Furniture. Her granddaughters were her pride and joy and they were affectionally known as her butterflies. As a big Pittsburgh Steelers fan, one of her favorite pastimes was watching football games.

Preceding Elisa in death were her parents, Santiago B. Martinez and Maria Magdalena C. Martinez.

Survivors include her loving and devoted husband, Fermin Villarreal; her son, Santiago Martinez; her granddaughters, Karen A. Martinez, Jayla N. Martinez, Lauren M. Martinez, and Kailey G. Martinez;  her brother, Frank Martinez; her sister, Deanna Martinez; and numerous extended family members.

Visiting hours will be held on Friday, the 15th of April 2022 between the hours of four o’clock in the afternoon and nine o’clock at night, with a recitation of the holy rosary to begin at seven o’clock Friday evening within the East Chapel of Darling-Mouser Funeral Home. Cremation will follow.
