Elizabeth Anne Alber, 90, beloved sister, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother passed away with family by her side in Brownsville, Texas on January 30, 2015. Our family, Lucy and Michael Williams, grandchildren Matthew (Jenny), and Adrianne (Randy) and great granddaughter, Felicity Rose will keep her close in heart and memory.
"Betty or Liz" as she was affectionately known over the years, also leaves members of her family, sister Eva, brother Floyd (Grace), sister-in-law Beauty (William),
brother-in-law Tom (Mary). She is preceded in death by her husband, Fred; mother and father, Ashley and William; sister Mary and brother William. She is well remembered with affection by friends and extended family in Maryland and across the country. Dear friends, Billy and Jane Coffin and sons, are her adopted family in Jonesport, Maine.
Elizabeth was born in 1924 in Stacey, Montana. Later moving to the Washington, DC area, she started her family life and career. She was a loyal employee of 18 years at City of Rockville in Maryland where she worked in Data Processing and with the Credit Union. She helped many with income tax returns and business management.
Our family will be forever grateful to the staff of Spanish Meadows Nursing Center where Elizabeth resided for the past two years. The professional, loving care and respect shown by all who worked with her has been a blessing. Thank you all at Spanish Meadows.
Memorial services will be held in February in Maryland where Elizabeth will be laid to rest at Gate of Heaven Catholic Cemetery.
