Mrs. Ellen Marie Elfrank, 79, our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, greatgrandmother, sister, and friend entered into the glory of her eternal life on Friday, April 12, 2013, at Valley Regional Medical Center in Brownsville.
Ellen a native Missourian had been a resident of Brownsville since 1992, when she and her husband Lloyd moved here to enjoy their retirement years. They settled in at River Bend Resort where Ellen enjoyed golfing, working crafts, and playing cards. Before coming to Brownsville, Lloyd and Ellen lived in Festus, MO., where Ellen worked for 30 years as a salesclerk with Smith Jewelers.
Ellen was a devoted wife and mother. Ellen was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed by all those fortunate to have known her.
Ellen was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred and Thelma Thompson a sister, Sharon Moore and three brothers: Michael, Tommy, and Jerry Thompson.
Left behind to eternally treasure their memories of her are her husband of 61 years: Lloyd F. Pete Elfrank two sons: Stephen Elfrank and his wife JoAnn and Kenneth Elfrank and his wife Geryl five grandchildren: Lisa Scott DeNoyer, Kristi Elfrank, Geron Elfrank, Tawny Jason Ruth, and Tyson Meyer four greatgrandchildren: Kaitlyn and Seth DeNoyer, Hayden Elfrank, and Logan Ruth. Ellen will also be missed by her sister, Carol Bourgeois, three brothers: Joe Dee Thompson, Jim Marlys Thompson, and Roger Thompson and numerous nieces, nephews, a host of friends, and other extended family members.
In accordance with Ellens wishes she was cremated. A Memorial Mass in celebration of her life was held on Friday, April 19, 2013, in St. Louis, MO. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, April 22m 2013, at River Bend Resort on US Highway 281.
