Emilio S. Silguero, 76, entered into the glory of his eternal life on Friday, April 25, 2008 with his loving wife at his side.
A native and lifetime resident of Brownsville, Emilio worked as a toll collector at the Gateway Bridge for 13 years. He then went on to work at the Port of Brownsville as a longshoreman until his retirement a few years ago. He was a loving and devoted husband and father. He was especially proud of the birth of his grandson six weeks ago. Emilio enjoyed a good cup of coffee and a piece of sweetbread but his favorite pastime was going fishing with his friends and compadres. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
Emilio was preceded in death by his parents Jose and Magdalena Silguero.
Left behind to eternally treasure his memory is his wife of 42 years, Lidia Silguero; the two daughters he was very proud of: Lisa Silguero and Nellie and her husband Michael Donaldson and their son, Jacob Milio, all from Dallas, TX: his aunts: Nellie Riojas and Marcella Montegna, from Corpus Christi, TX; and Matilda Maker, from San Diego, CA; his uncles: Rodolfo Sandoval from Riverside, CA and Roberto Sandoval from San Angelo, CA. He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and in-laws.
